Lawmaker Empowers Constituents With N100m Cash, Distributes 20,000 Bags Of Fertilizer

A member representing Ikwo/ Ezza-South federal constituency, Ebonyi State in the House of Representatives, Hon. Chinedu Ogah has empowered his constituents with N100 million, cash.

The Lawmaker also distributed 20, 000 bags of fertilizer to farmers in the constituency for food sufficiency and economic growth of the constituency.

 

The empowerment took place in his Item Amagu residence, Ikwo local government area of the state on Sunday during his 47th birthday celebration.

 

Addressing the beneficiaries, Ogah said that he embarked on the programme to alleviate the suffering of the people.

 

“Since my inauguration as a member of the Federal House of Representatives on the 19th November, 2019 by the immediate past Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, I have lived above board to justify the confidence reposed on me, through effective legislation and formation of programmes and Policies aimed at addressing the daunting challenges confronting our people.

 

“The empowerment programme was to appreciate members of the constituents for their support during the election, reduce poverty. restore hope to the downtrodden” Most importantly, to support the administration of President Bola Asiwaju Tinubu and His Excellency Rt Hon Francis Ogbonnaya Nwifuru.

” As usual and part of activities lined up for this year 2023 programme, I had in the last three days visited Abakaliki and Afikpo Correctional Centres, Motherless babies home, Destitute Homes, Artisans Centres, and Other places to show love to the downtrodden and other less privileged in the society.

 

” I also used this period to inaugurate some of the projects I executed in the constituency between 2022- 2023. These include; 3 class room block at Igweledoha Amagu, motorized borehole at Eke Echara, solar street light in Orinte, Ezza South, Okpotegu bridge at Echara Ikwo, Enyibirichiri Alike, Akwakwa bridge, Hand Pump borehole at Echi Alike, 4 Class room block at Ndegu Echara Central School, Abakaliki – Noyo Ndegu Echara – Obubra road, Item Amagu – Enyibirichiri concrete pavement road, Amainyima Okpuitumo transformer, Enyibirichiri Amagu transformer, Noyo Alike repaired Borehole, Akunakuna transformer, Motorized Borehole at Nsuba Okpuitumo, Solar grid power plant at Azuoffia Item Amagu and 3 Classroom Block at Edukwu Edo Primary School”, he stated.

 

Ogah explained that he has extended his empowerment outside his constituency as according to him, lifting people gives him joy and satisfaction.

 

He called on the people of his constituency and the state at large to support the APC government, the President of Nigeria, Bola Asiwaju Tinubu and The executive governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonnaya Nwifuru, to succeed for more dividends of democracy.

 

Different speeches from the dignitaries including the Speaker, House of Reps. Wife of the Governor and others applauded the the leadership genuity of the lawmaker, Hon. Ogah especially in lifting people’s plights and his excellent performances as a Rep member.

 

The Speaker of House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Dr. Tajudeen Abbas who was represented by Rt. Hon. Ugonna Ozurigbo of Nkwerre/Isu/Nwangele/Njaba Federal Constituency, First Lady of Ebonyi state, Chief Mrs. Uzoamaka Nwifuru, Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa, Sen.Ken Eze of Ebonyi Central Zone, Sen. Osita Ngwu of Enugu West Senatorial Zone, Hon. Iduma Igariwey Enwo, Member Afikpo North/Edda constituency who also doubles as Chairman Southeast caucus NASS, Rt. Hon. Munachim Ikechi Alozie of Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo Fed. Constituency, Hon.
