Dr. Morufudeen Adeniyi Shittu has recently been appointed the Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) of Lagos State University of Education, LASUED, Oto-Ijanikin, Lagos.
It is noted that Shittu was an Associate Professor, until his appointment as Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration was the Deputy Provost of Legacy College, MOCPED, and member, LASUED Senate.
He hails from Epe Town in Epe local government area of Lagos State to the family of Late Imam Nola Shittu from Idogun royal family and maternal family of Buraimoh-Bakare from Ajaganabe, Epe.
Shittu had his primary education at Zumuratul Islamiyah, Epe from 1973 to 1975 and also attended quranic school at Madrasah Shaykh Taqwallahi Afdal, Oke Iposu, Epe from 1973-1983.
He had his secondary school at Ogunmodede College, Papa, Epe Lagos State 1979-1983.
He proceeded to Daru-D’awah College of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Isolo, Lagos State from 1983 to 1990, Lagos State College of Education Oto/Ijanikin between 1991-1994 and Lagos State University, Ojo, where he bagged his Bachelor of Arts in Arabic Language and Literature in 1997.
Shittu subsequently obtained his Masters Degree in Arabic Language and Literature in 2005 and later proceeded for his Post Graduate Diploma in Education, PGDE, in 2007.
He later proceeded to International Islamic University, Malaysia in 2015, where he had Audit of Advanced Educational courses and bagged his Ph.D in Curriculum Studies (Arabic) at Sultan Idris University of Education, Malaysia in 2016.
Shittu joined the service of Michael Otedola College of Primary Education, MOCPED, Noforija, Epe, Lagos in 1999 as an Assistant Lecturer and rose through the rank until he became Chief Lecturer and later Deputy Provost of the Legacy College (MOCPED).

Dr. Shittu has 35 research- based publications in both national and international journals,
