The inaugural prize presentation, held today at the LASRRA Headquarters in Alausa, Ikeja, underscored the commitment of both organizations to community development and educational advancement.

Mrs. Bilikiss Adebiyi-Abiola, General Manager of LASRRA, emphasised that this initiative aims to ensure that no community is left behind. “This raffle draw is a direct result of LASRRA’s dedication to enriching the educational experiences of students in schools serving disadvantaged populations,” she stated.

The GM lauded the partnership with Mrs. Olanrewaju Oniyitan, Founder/Executive Director of SEED Care & Support Foundation, and announced that the raffle draw will be a quarterly event, ensuring broader reach among low-fee private schools.

Highlighting the multifaceted benefits, Mrs. Adebiyi-Abiola explained, “The quarterly raffle will serve as a consistent motivator for schools to register their pupils. It’s a powerful combination of collaboration, motivation, and community development.”

She further revealed plans to extend the initiative to teachers, with opportunities to win teaching materials and resources that will directly enhance the quality of education provided.

Mrs. Olanrewaju Oniyitan conveyed her organization’s deep commitment to human compassion within the non-governmental sector. “By focusing our support on low-fee private schools, we aim to generate a positive ripple effect on educational outcomes throughout Lagos State and contribute to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES Plus Agenda, ensuring no child, parent, or teacher is left behind in the pursuit of equitable services,” she affirmed.

Mrs. Oniyitan emphasised the organization’s core values of Collaboration, Identity, and Inclusion. She proudly announced the significant growth of the initiative, starting with seven schools and 570 registered individuals in 2024 and now encompassing 63 schools with 3,226 registered pupils.

“SEED Care & Support Foundation is dedicated to bridging educational gaps, promoting fairness, and guaranteeing that every child, regardless of their socio-economic background, has the chance to thrive,” Mrs. Oniyitan concluded.

LASRRA reiterated its ongoing commitment to the residents of Lagos State, particularly in the critical areas of education and community development. Through initiatives like this quarterly raffle draw, LASRRA recognizes and supports low-fee private schools and their communities, understanding that increased resident registration directly contributes to the provision of essential government services and amenities.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of gifts to the delighted winners representing five participating schools: De-Ample Gate Schools (Agege Motor Road, Mushin), Adtak-College (Ori-Okuta, Ikorodu), Nasiratul-Azeez Islamic School (Lekki LCDA), Afraz Private School (Ojodu), and Glory-Access Schools (Egan-Igando).
