In his address at the opening ceremony of the five-day training with the theme, “Lagos State and Re-enforcing the Culture of Excellence”, held at L’eola Hotel, Maryland, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Olawale Musa, stated that the training offers a platform for the Heads of Agencies to interact, share experiences and collaborate.

While stressing the need for cohesiveness among the Head of Agencies, Musa informed that the training is expected to develop and sharpen their leadership skills and help them to understand more of what is required of them to achieve the goal of their Agencies.

He expressed confidence that the training would give them a different view of what they had been doing in the form of knowledge which would help them solve individual challenges that may arise in the course of their assignment.

Speaking in the same vein, the Director of Training in the Ministry, Mrs. Bisola Dokunmu-Adegbite advised the participants to keep an open mind and put what the knowledge acquired at the training into practice, adding that the Governor is passionate about leadership and he is prepared to support them to deliver on their jobs.

During the five-day training, participants would be taken through a series of courses including Reputation and Crisis Management, Winning with Influence, Practical Media Workshop and Persuasion and Strategic Leadership in the 21st Century. Other courses slated for the training are the Art of Public Speaking and Developing a Sustainable Executive Personal Brand among others.
