LASG ROLLS OUT DIVERSION PLAN AHEAD OF ECOWAS SUMMIT AT NIIA HOUSE AND EKO HOTEL AND SUITES

In view of the upcoming Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Summit scheduled to hold at NIIA House and Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, the Lagos State Government has released a travel advisory for motorists navigating through the affected areas. The aim is to ensure seamless traffic flow and enhanced security during the event.

 

Consequently, the following routes have been mapped out for motorists during the event:

 

CBN

Eko Hotel Roundabout to Lagos Island/Mainland via Ahmadu Bello Way:

Motorists heading to Lagos Island or the Mainland from Eko Hotel Roundabout are advised to go through Adetokunbo Ademola Road and continue past Civic Centre, then turn left onto Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, after which they would drive straight to Bonny Camp Roundabout and make a right turn to continue towards Lagos Island/Mainland.

 

Alternatively, motorists can access Lagos Island/Mainland via the Falomo Ramp by the Law School to complete their journeys.

 

Eko Hotel Roundabout to Ahmadu Bello Way, Adeola Odeku, and Inner Roads: Motorists exiting Ajose Adeogun/Adetokunbo Ademola en route Eko Hotel Roundabout should navigate through Sanusi Fafunwa Street and continue straight to connect Akin Adesola Road, then turn left at the junction to access Ahmadu Bello Way, Atlantic City, or Adeola Odeku. A right turn at the junction connects motorists to the Falomo Bridge or back to the Law School.

 

Kofo Abayomi Road to Bonny Camp Axis/Ozumba Mbadiwe Road:

Motorists exiting from the Lagos Continental Hotel end are to connect Kilimanjaro Junction on Ozumba Mbadiwe Road and turn left to reach Bonny Camp Roundabout, or turn right to head toward Lekki via Ozumba Mbadiwe Road to reach their desired destination

 

Bonny Camp to Kofo Abayomi Road: Motorists approaching Kofo Abayomi Road from Bonny Camp are advised to drive through Ozumba Mbadiwe Road and, on arrival at Kilimanjaro Junction, turn right to reach their destination via Lagos Continental Hotel.

 

Independence/McEwen Bridge to Eko Hotel Axis: Motorists coming from Independence/McEwen Bridge should make a left turn at the IMB Junction on Ahmadu Bello Way by Atlantic City to Link Akin Adesola Road and continue through the available inner streets.

 

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority will be on the ground to manage vehicular movement and minimise inconveniences.
