Dr. Afolabi further revealed that the presentation of cheques to the beneficiaries today is the first of its kind as it featured the largest number of beneficiaries in the history of Lagos State.
He asserted that the beneficiaries should see the kind gesture given to them today as a form of palliative measure from the Lagos State Government to the citizens across the 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas.
The Special Adviser pleaded with the beneficiaries to judiciously put the money into good use by spending it to address their unique financial circumstances and various economic challenges.
The Permanent Secretary Office of Political, Legislative and Civic Engagement (OPL& CE), Engr. Abiola Kosegbe noted that the provision of financial assistance reflects the State Government’s commitment to leverage the available resources for the betterment of its citizens through economic empowerment and poverty alleviation initiatives.
