LASG  KICK-STARTS ONLINE PAYMENT, REGISTRATION FOR BECE, PLACEMENT TEST BY CAS

Lagos State Government has kick-started the Year 2024 Online Payment and Registration for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and Placement Test by Continuous Assessment Scores (CAS).

A statement signed by the Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu, notified the general public, especially Private Schools and Schools with Special Permissions, that the Online Payment and Registration had commenced.

Orunsolu stated that the process is in line with the State Government’s policy of ensuring seamless and stress-free payment and access to service in the State. adding that it would allow every school to create a Login Account to generate their Unique Identity Number (ID) and Personalised Identification Number (PIN) by logging unto examsboard.lagosstate.gov.ng

Enjoining all schools to adhere strictly to the guidelines for payment and registration as stated on the portal, the Director also revealed that only primary six pupils are eligible for the Placement Test by CAS, adding that only duly registered JSS3 students would be allowed to sit for BECE.

He submitted that the online payment and registration were sustained to allow for a hitch-free process, adding that schools with Special Candidates such as those with visual challenges, albinism and others should inform the Exams Board in a separate letter to facilitate adequate preparations for their candidates during the examination.

Orunsolu also stated that the circulars containing detailed information about the mode of payment and registration for the two examinations are already available to schools through their LED/ZONAL OFFICERS.
