He maintained that the activation is not just about awareness but about driving real behavioural change and ensuring survivors are supported and heard. He implored students to actively participate in the campaign and become ambassadors for change, promoting respectful relationships on campus and anywhere they find themselves.

Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, according to the Executive Secretary, remains a critical issue that affects individuals, families and communities across our society and learning institutions like LASCOHET play a vital role not only in educating minds but also in shaping values, attitudes and behaviours. She urged students to be ambassadors of change and speak up against abuse, support one another and never hesitate to report any form of abuse.

Other resource persons were also on the ground to speak to the students on various levels of abuse and how to handle it.

Also present at the event were members of the College’s management team, including Deputy Provost (Admin), Mrs. Oyeronke Izobo; the Registrar, Mr. Christopher Ekundayo, and the Dean of Student Affairs, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Babatunde.
