The Lagos Traffic Radio 96.1FM has commenced a new Yoruba programme tagged: “NIJOBA IBILE EKO”, designed to enable the Chairmen of the 20 Local Governments and 37 Local Council Developments Areas in the State share their achievements and activities in line with Mr. Governor’s T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Agenda during a live appearance on Air.

A statement signed by the General Manager of the Station, Tayo Akanle, said the platform is designed to provide LG/LCDAs, being the closest government level to the people, the opportunity to not only engage their respectful communities directly but to also reflect on their accountability and transparency as they are the pillars of good governance.

Mr. Akanle further stressed the importance of feedback in the government decision-making process, adding that the platform will serve as an effective feedback channel for the local authorities.

The General Manager emphasised that the station possessed the capacity to serve as a veritable platform for them to share their achievements and activities, stating that it has about two million readily available terrestrial audiences with an appreciable online engagement platform. According to him, the programme is scheduled to be aired on the Radio Station between 3 pm to 4 pm daily.

The General Manager, therefore, enjoined the Chairmen of all Local Government and Local Council Development Areas to take advantage of the platform provided by the station by appearing live on air, as scheduled, to showcase their achievements and activities in line with the THEMES Plus Agenda of Mr. Governor.
