The Office of Central Business District (CBD) has today intensified the clearing of shanties and illegal structures under the Apongbon Bridge while serving quit notices to illegal traders, artisans and squatters to quit the area.
This Head of Administration, Lagos CBD office, Mrs. Abidekun Balikis stated during a monitoring exercise in the area, adding that the notice is in line with the Governor’s directives of dislodging traders under bridges across the state.
She maintained that the clearing of the space under the Apongbon Bridge commenced last week in line with the “no trading under the bridge” stance of the Lagos State Government.
