Desmond Elliot has formally announced his intention to seek a return mandate to the Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Surulere Constituency.
Elliot said his decision is driven by a continued commitment to serve and to build on the progress achieved during his tenure.
He expressed gratitude for the trust and support he has received over the years, emphasising his dedication to advancing the collective aspirations of the people of Surulere.
Elliot noted that his re-election would secure a ranking status for the constituency within the Assembly, a position he said would attract greater attention and developmental benefits to the area, given his legislative experience and influence.
He also extended appreciation to party leaders in Surulere Local Government, ward executives, community leaders, youth and women groups, and other stakeholders across Lagos State for their consistent support and guidance.
Appealing to his supporters, Elliot urged them to remain calm, united, and focused, stressing the importance of peace, unity, and mutual respect throughout the political process.
He expressed confidence that the spirit of togetherness in Surulere would ensure continued progress.
