Report has shown that a 5-storey under construction has collapsed at Basden Street, Fegge, in the commercial city of Onitsha, Anambra State.
According to information, the building, was meant to serve commercial purposes after completion, but collapsed early hours of Sunday with some of the construction workers on the last floor.
Though a rescue team with excavator were said to be on ground to evacuate and help victims trapped which is yet to be ascertain as the cause of the collapse is yet to be identified.
However, the state police spokesman, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, and the Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Emergency Management Agency, Chinyere Nworah, is yet to be reached for confirmation.
