President Tinubu has today Wednesday 14th Jube, 2023 appoints Mr. Mohammed Umar asĀ the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Umar is directed to take over the affairs of the commission being the Director of Operations after the suspension of Abdulrasheed Bawa as its Chairman.
It was gathered that, President Tinubu suspends the EFCC Chairman indefinitely following what is described as weighty allegations of abuse of office.
Hours to his suspension, Bawa had a meeting with the President today at the State House.
