The Labour Party (LP) has recently lost one of the strong candidate for Enugu East Senatorial District, was assassinated, Oyibo Chukwu who is meant to participate in the forthcoming general election on Saturday 25th February, 2023.
It was gathered that, Oyibo, a lawyer, was allegedly attacked on his way back from a campaign trip in the Agbani area.
According to reports from a source who pleaded annonymous, Onyibo was burned inside his vehicle, and three people were believed to be in the vehicle with him though the number of persons with him in the vehicle is yet to be ascertained and the details of the attack was not clear.
Information reaching the media was that, All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the state, Uche Nnaji, was also attacked near where Oyibo was killed.
