The Crisis rocking the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB has degenerated further as a ranking member of the organization, Simon Ekpa, has said that the group will no longer take orders from its leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
‘Politics Nigeria’ recalls that Kanu has been in the custody of the Department of State Security, DSS ever since he was captured in Kenya and brought back to Nigeria in 2021.
Since his detention, the group has been engulfed in serious crisis with many factions arising as a result. Ekpa, in a series of tweets on Tuesday, disclosed that orders will no longer be taken from its incarcerated leader.
He wrote: “We have entered the liberation phase of Biafra Nation & we are not taking orders from our leader who is incarceration.”
“Our duty is to do everything to secure his unconditional release, and to restore and liberate Biafra from Nigeria. Our freedom from Nigeria is nonnegotiable.”
