Ogun State government has decided to tune down the hype on arrangements following the celeberation of independence anniversary on October 1, 2023 in the state.
This decision was said to have followed the directive of the Federal Government that this year’s Independence Day Celebration should be low-key, according to the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi.
According to the press statement, the decision by the federal government was to reflect the mood of the nation.
However, Talabi onbehslf of the state government urges the citizens of the state to spend the time majorly on praying for the country as the government under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun that the supplications of the people at the crucial time would be answered by God.
He concluded, “We seek the understanding and cooperation of all and sundry as we observe a low-key independence anniversary this year, believing that better times lie ahead of us as a people.”
