Troops of the 12 Brigade, Nigerian Army, achieved a major operational success under Operation IGBO IDANU I in Kogi State, dismantling a terrorist camp linked to Kachalla Ibrahim and Shu’aibu. The clearance, led by Brigadier General Kasim Umar Sidi, involved navigating dense forest, riverine terrain, and natural obstacles, forcing terrorists to flee the area.

Following the operation, soldiers recovered a cache of arms and ammunition, including eight boxes of 7.62 x 54 link rounds and high-velocity grenades, significantly degrading the terrorist network’s operational capacity. The camp was destroyed, and troops continue aggressive patrols to prevent regrouping, reaffirming the Nigerian Army’s commitment to protecting communities and restoring lasting security in the region.
