
The Super Falcons secured their place in next year’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) after drawing 1–1 with Benin Republic at MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta on Tuesday.
The result sealed a 3–1 aggregate victory over the Amazons.

The second leg, played before a packed stadium, did not mirror Nigeria’s dominant 2–0 win in the first leg in Cotonou.
Nonetheless, the Falcons’ strong position carried them through to qualify for the continental tournament.
