Former Flying Eagles captain and Molde FK midfielder Daniel Daga has been sentenced to six months in prison by the Nordmøre and Romsdal District Court in Norway.
The conviction followed a case involving a sexual act carried out without the consent of the other party, linked to an incident reported in April 2025.
In addition to the prison sentence, the court ordered Daga to pay a fine of 10,000 Norwegian kroner.
Daga, who joined Norwegian club Molde from Nigerian side Enyimba about a year ago, has disputed the ruling.

Molde FK confirmed that the midfielder will not take part in matchday squads or club activities pending further developments in the case.
The 20 year old footballer previously represented Nigeria’s Flying Eagles at the 2025 FIFA Under 20 World Cup.
