How Court Strikes Out Nnamdi Kanu ‘s Case…details

The Federal High Court Abuja division, has struck out a fundamental rights enforcement suit filed by leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

 

The plaintiff filed the 50 billion naira suit against the federal government, for the alleged manner in which he was repatriated to Nigeria from kenya in 2017.

The court however observed that the case has not been diligently prosecuted by Nnamdi Kanu ‘s legal team, as they were absent during the proceeding and had absented themselves in past proceedings.

 

The presiding judge, justice Inyang Ekwo struck out the matter for lack of diligent prosecution of the matter

 

The Federal government in its preliminary objection, had argued that the case filed by Nnamdi Kanu was an abuse of court process, having also filed a similar suit at the high court of Umuahia, Abia state.
