Otu embarks on a working visit to the Cross River Garment factory.
The wife of the Cross River State Governor, Rev. Eyoanwan Otu, visited the Cross River Garment Factory in Calabar earlier today. The visit was part of the State Government’s resolve to revamp the and interacted with the workers. She commended the workers for their dedication to duty and expressed confidence that the factory would play a major role in the state’s economic development.
Rev. Otu also hinted on plans to upgrade the factory to a textile and fabric hub, remarking that the factory would be a one-stop destination for textile, fabric, and fashion endeavors. She added that the factory would help to empower women and youths, and it would create jobs for the skilled and semi- skilled workforce.
The Cross River garment factory is a major investment by the state government. Rev Otu’s visit is a sign of the state government’s commitment to the success of the factory.
