Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has welcomed a former member of the House of Representatives for Orumba North and South Federal Constituency, Chief Okwudili Ezenwankwo back into the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

The occasion was held at Nanka. The significant event was another celebration amidst the party’s recent electoral victories at the Senatorial and Constituency Bye-Elections.
Governor Soludo stated that the striking thing is that the event came a day after an election considered one of the most consequential in the history of APGA and Anambra State, with the party emerging triumphant across all 118 wards in Anambra South.
“Welcome back home,” Governor Soludo expressed with open arms, emphasizing the importance of unity within the party. The gesture resonates not just as a political maneuver, but as a reaffirmation of APGA’s enduring presence and strengthened commitment to the progress of Anambra.
The former lawmaker, who previously defected to another party, has now come back to APGA, a decision that Soludo hailed as a sign of loyalty to the party’s foundational principles. “APGA is where every progressive in Anambra belongs. It is not just a political party; it is a movement, and for many, almost a religion,” he proclaimed, underscoring the entrenched significance of the party in the lives of Anambra residents.
The Governor stated that the timing of the official reunion, following the elections, showcased the strength of the party, further reinforcing the message of solidarity and progress.
Governor Soludo indicated that the collective will of ndị Anambra was evident in the results. “Anambra spoke loud and clear,” he stated confidently. He extended gratitude to President Ahmed Tinubu, who emphasized the necessity for free and fair elections, and acknowledged the efforts of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in facilitating the electoral process.
Governor Soludo also commended the security agencies, asserting their role in providing a level playing field that allowed for an impartial election. “Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty,” he reminded his audience, reiterating the importance of maintaining democratic integrity.
As APGA prepares for the tasks ahead, including forming a partnership with the winner of the Anambra South Senatorial District election, Chief Emma Nwachukwu, Governor Soludo acknowledged the challenges that lie ahead. “We are ready, but there is a long way to go,” he asserted, emphasizing the commitment of APGA to addressing the needs and aspirations of the citizens of Anambra.
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, expressed immense gratitude for the party’s significant achievements, marking a historic moment with the election of a Senator of APGA extraction in the district, a milestone he attributed to the efforts of the Governor. Ezeokenwa celebrated the “massive victory” secured in the recent polls and urged party members and supporters to rally behind the collective vision, stating, “Operation one million votes for Soludo” will be our next goal, emphasizing the commitment to continued growth and electoral success for the party.
In the wake of a resounding victory that has solidified the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra State, Chief Emmanuel Nwachukwu addressed his supporters and the voters with heartfelt gratitude and an unwavering resolve for the future.
“I thank the voters,” Nwachukwu expressed, his voice ringing with gratitude. “Your faith in me and our party is not just a mandate; it is a shared vision for a prosperous Anambra. Together, we have achieved something remarkable—APGA has won more than 75 percent of the votes, with over 90,000 ballots cast in our favor.”
“What we have demonstrated is that only one party exists in Anambra—the All Progressives Grand Alliance. This election was not merely about counting votes; it was a powerful statement of unity and purpose among our people.”
Chief Ezenwankwo urged the gathered crowd to reflect their commitment to Soludo’s administration through action: “On November 8th, we will queue behind Governor Soludo. Our presence here today is a testament to our strength—over ten thousand people strong, ready to march forward side by side.”
