
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has extended his heartfelt sympathy to residents affected by the heavy rainstorm that struck parts of the state on Saturday, causing damage to numerous private and public properties. Thankfully, no loss of life was recorded.
In swift response to the incident, the Governor has directed the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to immediately carry out an assessment of the affected properties with a view to providing necessary assistance to the victims.

Governor Oyebanji, while urging residents to remain calm and continue their daily activities without fear, assured the people that government is fully committed to their welfare and will respond promptly to the situation.
“We are in it together,” the Governor said in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yinka Oyebode, and made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday evening.
The statement further emphasised the commitment of the Biodun Oyebanji administration to the wellbeing of all citizens, assuring that no effort will be spared in delivering timely support and relief to those affected.
