
As part of the New Niger agenda, The Niger State Trade & Investment Commissioner Alh. Aminu Takuma led Chinese investors to Rabba, Mokwa LGA, for site inspection toward setting up agro-processing industries.

The visit, which took place on July 16, 2025, began with a courtesy call on the Ndashi of Rabba, Engr. Alhaji Umaru Tswako, where the commissioner sought the community’s endorsement for the proposed development.
Alhaji Takuma reiterated the willingness of Governor Bago has to make Rabba a flagship beneficiary of the project.
He was accompanied by Mr. Yomi, Chairman of the Niger State Special Agro-Processing Zone (SAPZ), and Hon. Zakariyau Rabba, Deputy Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
Addressing the elders and traditional leaders, Alhaji Takuma outlined the benefits the project promises to deliver, including stable electricity, improved road networks, employment opportunities, and overall economic growth for the Rabba community.
In response, the Ndashi expressed the community’s full support and appointed representatives to join the inspection team. The delegation toured many potential project sites including farmlands, the banks of the River Niger, and former facilities used by Sunflag Agro Nigeria Limited.
Impressed by the location and available resources, the Chinese investors expressed strong interest and pledged to commence operations as soon as all necessary approvals and processes are completed.
