The executive Governor of Borno state, Babagana Zulum has considered education as very key to better youths, he went further to strech a hand of fellowship to teachers with greenlight of N1 billion for basic-level teacher training across all 27 LGAs.
Additionally, he distributes 58 Hilux vehicles and Volkswagen Golf 3 Wagons to local government education secretaries.
The initiative aims to upgrade over 1,000 teachers with O-Level certificates to meet minimum teaching qualifications.
Training will also be provided to teachers lacking formal qualifications but deemed trainable based on competency test results.
