The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has congratulated the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori on his 60th birthday.
A birthday celebration was held in his honour at the Event Center, Asaba.
In his goodwill message, Governor Soludo rejoiced with the Delta State Governor who he described as a friend and neighbor.
Governor Soludo noted he was excited to be in Delta State adding that it was also his second time of visiting the State in recent times. He pointed out that the first time was during the commissioning of the Second Niger Bridge.
The Governor observed that 22 days after Elder Sheriff was sworn in as Governor of Delta State, the people of Delta State and the entire nation have come to honor him on this auspicious occasion of his 60th birthday
Governor Soludo stressed that the twin cities of Asaba and Onitsha is joined by the Second Niger Bridge, saying that he has come to extend a handshake of opportunity.
He wished Governor Sheriff many more years of bountiful service to Delta and humanity while welcoming him to the club of 60, which he referred to as midlife.
Earlier, former Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa praised God for the gift of life to Governor Sheriff, stating that his inauguration was a few days ago and that celebrating his 60th year on earth is a beautiful way to commemorate the day of his birth.
Thanking God for his faithfulness in Governor Sheriff’s life, he remarked that God has a purpose for him that must be realized in the lives of Indigenes and residents of Delta.
The Former Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, Chief of Staff to Governor Soludo, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, Chief Protocol officer, Hon Chinedu Nwoye (Glamour), Members of Delta State Executive Council, Captains of Industry, Traditional Rulers among others attended the event.
