Gov. Sanwo-Olu Visits Lagos Island Maternity Hospital To Cushion Negative Economic Effect On Poor Masses

The Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has paid unexpected visit ss a follow up to his decision to offer free antenatal services and free birth deliveries for women at the State’s General Hospitals as to help cushion the effect of the current economic situation, I paid an unscheduled visit to the Lagos Island Maternity Hospital this evening, for an on the spot assessment on how effective the medical palliative care is being implemented

Sanwoolu noted that healthcare is very critical, and everything must be done to ensure it is available at the best level for everyone.

In his statement he also reveaked, “I also made an unscheduled visit to the General Hospital, Odan to do on-the-spot assessment of the level of facilities at the hospital and the medical quarters, with a view to determining the level of intervention needed

“As part of our THEMES + agenda, we have made major strides across different levels of healthcare in Lagos, with major interventions still planned to support continued improvement.

“Together, we’re committed to building a healthier and safer future.”
