The Executive Governor of Ebonyi state, Francis Nwifuru has join his wife, Madam Nwifuru alongside Dr. David Umahiin the launching of Better Health for Rural Women, Children and Internally Displaced Persons Foundation’ (BERWO).
In his remarks he said, “In our manifesto, The People’s Charter of Needs, we had purposeful eyes towards increasing women participation in politics and governance, prohibiting Gender-Based Violence (GBV), eliminating Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), promoting free maternal and child health care and supporting girl child education. But when you have a darling wife as mine – a hardworking mother of the State, everything becomes easy and seamless.
“Yesterday, we were glad to gather at her instance, to launch her modest pet project, ‘Better Health for Rural Women, Children and Internally Displaced Persons Foundation’ (BERWO). This all-encompassing program has taken up these tasks in our manifesto and has gone ahead to make them even better and meaningful for our people.
“We congratulate Her Excellency and all of us, the people of Ebonyi State. We will continue to support her to ensure that this beautiful project realizes all it has in store for Ebonyi people.
