FRESH BREAKTHROUGH IN ANAMBRA’S ANTI-CRIME CAMPAIGN, ANOTHER KIDNAPPING SYNDICATE BUSTED

In a fresh significant development that proves the improving security situation in Anambra State, combined security forces have successfully raided a kidnapper’s hideout in Enugwu Agidi, Njikoka Local Government Area, leading to the arrest of a key suspect and recovery of a substantial cache of weapons.

The operation, conducted at 12:15 am on Thursday, January 30, 2025, was carried out by joint troops of the newly launched ‘Udo Ga Chi’ and ‘Agunechemba’ security initiatives. Acting on credible intelligence, the forces apprehended Mr. Chukwudi Tansi, identified as a member of a suspected kidnapping syndicate.

 

The raid resulted in the recovery of an impressive arsenal including two AK-47 rifles, eight pump action guns, and four locally made pistols. Additional items seized included three packets of cartridges containing 101 rounds, four empty AK-47 magazines, three cutlasses, a Baofeng radio, a motorcycle, and various charms.

 

This successful operation further confirms the effectiveness of Governor Soludo’s new security offensive in Anambra State, demonstrating the administration’s commitment to combating criminal activities. The coordinated efforts of the ‘Udo Ga Chi’ and ‘Agunechemba’ security units represent a strategic approach to maintaining law and order in the state with the support of other state police command.

 

The breakthrough comes as part of ongoing efforts to enhance security across Anambra State, with authorities maintaining their aggressive stance against criminal elements. This latest success is expected to further boost public confidence in the state’s security apparatus and contribute to the overall peace and stability of the state.
