Report has shown that Colonel Muhammad Mana, a former military governor of Plateau State is dead.

 

According to the report, he died on August 22, 2025, at the age of 74years, after a brief illness.

From records, Col. Mana represented Adamawa North in the Senate after serving as governor of Plateau State from 1993 to 1996.

 

Having his most notable accomplishments as a military administrator where he introduced policies and initiatives that accelerated economic growth in the state and the country.

 

The Governor of Plateau state, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, governor of Plateau State, as “a painful loss to his family, the people of Plateau, and the nation” upon his exit.

 

Governor Mutfwang lauded Mana’s leadership during a critical period in Plateau’s history, highlighting his efforts to foster unity, peace, and progress.

 

Nigeria, he said, would miss Mana’s wisdom and leadership in light of the country’s present problems with harmony and stability. On behalf of my family, the state of Plateau, and all of Nigeria, I want to convey my profoundest condolences to Col. Mana’s loved ones.

 

At his remarks, the governor asked the public to keep him and his family in their prayers at this difficult time. From across the country, people are paying respect to Col. Mana for his illustrious career as a legislator and military commander, many are remembering him with awe.
