First Bank has recently announced a new name for its subsidiaries in Inited Kingdom, Ghana and other African countries such like FBNBank UK, FBNBank Sierra Leone, FBNBank Gambia, FBNBank DRC.
This was contained in a statement, “First Bank announces new name changes of its subsidiaries reteriates its commitment to boosting cross-boarder business opportunities in Aftica and the world”, disclosed by the Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Folake Ani Mumuney.
According to First Bank, the name change is part of a boarder restructuring effort, aimed at strengthening its global presence and will reflect the parents company.
The giant Bank also noted that the name change is part of the commitment to enhance cross border business opportunities and aligning its subsidiaries to the parent brand which will enable the subsidiaries to leverage on the strong heritage and brand equity that First Bank Nigeria has built in its 129 years of banking leadership.
Also speaking on the name change was the Chief Executive Officer of First Bank Group, Dr. Adesola Adeduntan who commented that, “The name change which coincides with First Bank’s 129th founding anniversary (March 31st, 2023) is indeed a milestone reflective our resolve to continuously provide the gold standard of excellence and value as we put our customers first”.
“The new identity of subsidiaries contributes to an enhanced brand essence. It helps our customers and stakeholders better appreciate the value of diversified product suites, competitive pricing and extensive business network the FirstBank Group networks.
“These includes our commitment to boosting cross-boarder businesses including trade and investment opportunities essential to enhancing trade relations amongst countries, thereby strengthening the economies of host communities and reduce poverty.”
Also, the First Bank Deputy Managing Director, Gbenga Shobo resigned following the CBN directives of maximum of 10 years.
