The Police Service Commission (PSC) has presently approved Frank Mba and Bala Ciroma’s appointment as Deputy Inspectors General of Police on Friday.
These decisions were part of the outcome of the 21st Plenary Meeting of the Commission, chaired by Dr. Solomon Arase which was attended by all Commission members, including Ifeoma Adaora Anyanwutaku, Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Commission.
And this was contained in a statement disclosed by the PSC’s Director of Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani that DIG Ciroma will replace DIG Ali Janga, who has retired and represented the North East geopolitical zonegeopolitical zone on the Police Management team before his retirement. DIG Ciroma, the zone’s highest-ranking officer, will now represent the zone.
While DIG Mba will represent the South East zone, replacing retired DIG John Amadi, who represented the zone prior to his retirement.
Also, the Commission approved the promotions of 14 Commissioners of Police to Assistant Inspectors General of Police and 22 Deputy Commissioners of Police to Commissioners.
