
The federal government is making good on its promises to deliver specialized institutions to tackle urgent and interconnected issues confronting the nation and the world, such as food security, public health, climate change, renewable energy, and technological innovation.
Minister of education Dr Tunji Alausa stated this while inaugurating the governing councils and principal officers of four new specialised institutions of learning that will serve as engines of local economic growth, centres of community development, and platforms for building human capacity to advance national productivity and global competitiveness.

The universities are, Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho ,Oyo State, Federal University of Health Sciences and Technology, Tsafe, Zamfara State, Yusuf Maitama Sule Federal University of Education, Kano; and the Federal University of Education, Zaria ,Kaduna State
