The Federal Ministry of Transportation clarifies misconceptions surrounding the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with MPH Rail Development (UK) Limited.
Minister of Transportation, Senator Said Ahmed Alkali, emphasises that the MoU is non-binding and serves as a platform for further engagement.
The MoU stemmed from an unsolicited proposal by the British African Business Alliance (BABA) and aims to explore the feasibility of executing the project without government loans.
The Ministry stresses that the initiative is in its preliminary stages, subject to rigorous evaluation by relevant authorities.
It assures the public of its commitment to delivering efficient and sustainable transport infrastructure.
