Newcastle United have moved up on the Premier League table to second place behind top spot Arsenal after they thrashed Leicester City 3-0 in their clash at the King Power Stadium on Monday.
Newcastle have now become the team with the longest winning streak this season in the Premier League with six straight wins.
They opening goal was early in the game in the first three minutes, after Leicester’s Chris Wood scored a penalty, following a bad tackle from the Foxes. Midfielder Miguel Almiron went on to double the scoreline in the seventh minute and later Joelinton tripled it in the 32nd minute.
Newcastle now have 33 points and are above champions Manchester City who have 32 points, although they are yet to play their opening match since the resumption of the EPL, after the World Cup break.
Leicester remain in 13th place on the league table with 17 points.
