Liverpool have suffered a double injury blow ahead of their Premier League tie with Manchester City on October 16.
Liverpool duo Trent Alexander-Arnold and Luis Diaz sustained an injury during their side’s Premier League 3-2 defeat against Arsenal on Sunday.
Alexander-Arnold was hooked at the break after appearing to suffer an ankle injury from a challenge during Liverpool’s clash with Arsenal at Emirates Stadium, while Diaz was substituted just before half-time as the Colombian international appeared to be suffering from a knee problem.
However, Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has now provided a worrying injury update for both players at his post-match press conference.
Asked about Alexander-Arnold and Diaz, Klopp confirmed that it doesn’t look good for both players.
The German said, “He is injured, unfortunately. Like Luis Diaz as well, it doesn’t look good for both. That is the icing on the cake. Two massive injury blows for us. Trent and Luis.
“Luis Diaz, something with the knee, not good.”
