ENUGU: Gov. Peter Mbah Attends Tech and Entrepreneurship (TxE) Summit….see details
The Executive Governor of Enugu state, Peter Mbah has on Sunday November 19th, 2023 attended the second edition of the Enugu Tech and Entrepreneurship (TxE) Summit as a keynote speaker and perform the same role at the inaugural edition in 2022.
Gov. Mbah also made his remarks while speaking on the theme he said, “Innovation Unleashed: Transforming Enugu’s Future”, I shared with the incredibly large number of young people at the summit, the new measures we have put in place to ignite and unleash the creative and boundless energies in them.
“Our administration has commenced the training of youths on digital innovation, programming, digital marketing, fintech, and entrepreneurship, among other requisite tech, financial and business skills.
“We are strategically working to create a better and viable future for the youths resident in Enugu State. Our goal is to provide them with relevant skills, and nurture an environment full of opportunities.
“We want them to embrace the emerging future of robotics, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, virtual reality, and disruptive innovation through skills in information and technology.
“Our administration would train at least 40,000 youths across the state on relevant digital and entrepreneurial skills that would enable them compete in the global digital and entrepreneurial markets.
“Since the global order is rapidly moving from analogue and anachronistic ways of doing things to a modern perspective enabled by technology, I charged the youths to seize the opportunity the TeX summit had afforded them to learn new ways of doing things in order to remain relevant and economically self-reliant in a competitive global sphere.
“I urged them to reposition themselves to solve societal needs by thinking creatively and coming up with problem solving ideas.
“I roused the youths to begin to think digitally, to understand that the emerging future is the one that requires them to acquire relevant digital skills to thrive, because the innovation landscape in the country is not barren.
“With the right training and skills which my government would facilitate by partnering with different reputable tech industries, our youths can create their own greener pasture in Nigeria without having to travel abroad. And with their own innovation here, they can create greener pastures on the Enugu soil.
“I’m hopeful that with this TeX Summit, our youths will learn lifetime skills which they can use to conquer the world.
“I cannot forget to thank the organisers of this wonderful event, especially Mr. Williams Uchembah for the life-changing initiative brought to Enugu State yet again, and for the kind invitation extended to me.”
