Presently, the Trade Union Congress (TUC) has decided to ignore the call of the leadership of theĀ Nigeria Labour CongressĀ (NLC) in its plan to protest against the biting hardship and insecurity scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday.
This was disclosed by the President of TUC, Festus Osifo at a press conference, saying that it would proceed on engaging the federal government to proffer solutions to some of the challenges facing the country rather than going on protest which will be detrimental to the entire economy of the nation and will be a worsening strategy.
While the NLC has said it would go ahead with its protest despite the Department of State Services and the Attorney General and Minister of Justice calling the labour leaders to shelve the planned protest.
Osifo however went further to outline a 15-point agenda that the government should consider in other to improve the economic situation of the country.
