The Ebonyi State Police Command has successfully foiled an attempt by suspected hoodlums to kidnap a victim on March 30, 2025.
Confirming the incident in a statement, the Ebonyi State Police Public Relations Officer SP Joshua Ukandu, said the command, having received a tip off regarding a kidnapping incident around Mile 50 in Abakaliki, dispatched operatives of the command to pursue the kidnappers.
The operatives tracked an ash coloured Toyota Corolla with registration number: SKA 828 AA, which was used by the kidnappers, to Tina Nweze Street in Mile 50, Abakaliki where the kidnappers abandoned the victim, the Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Sienna vehicle belonging to the victim.
The PPRO further maintained the readiness of the Commissioner of Police Ebonyi State Command, CP Anthonia Uche-Anya to protect lives and property in the state.
