The Honourable Commissioner for Ministry of Border Peace and Conflict Resolution, Hon. Dr. Donatus Chukwuma Ilang has assured his readiness to partner with Human Right and Conflict Resolution Centre in peace building and Conflict Management in Ebonyi State.

Hon. Dr. Donatus Ilang declared this recently in his office at the Old Government House, Abakaliki during a courtesy visit by the team from Human Right and Conflict Resolution Centre, Abakaliki Office.

Hon. Dr. Ilang commended the commission on their work so far in the state, noting that it is working towards the goals and objectives of this administration set by His Excellency, the Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonnia Nwifuru, who has made it mandatory that peace is paramount and essential for development and coexistence of people living together in Ebonyi State irrespective of your gender, tribe or societal values.

 

Hon. Commissioner urged them to keep up the good work and ensure that any technical support they can offer the state is done as much as possible.

Speaking earlier, the leader of the team and the Executive Director applauded the Hon. Commissioner for Border Peace and Conflict Resolution, Hon. Donatus Ilang for his ingenuity in handling the the Ministry’s mandate, describing it as wonderful, saying that with the measure in which he is pushing that soonest Ebonyi State will become one of the conflict or crisis free state in Nigeria.

 

George Etamesor said that their visit to the Ministry was to familiarize with him and equally seek for more ways they can work together with the Ministry since they have similar roles, for greater achievements for the state.

 

In his vote of thanks, Mr. Ekere on behalf of the team, thanked the Honourable Commissioner and his staff for the warm reception given to them, pledging their maximum support to the state.
