…or loose the state the first time
It has become very evident that Olorogun Kenneth Ggagi, against a cluster of pretenders on parade, is PDP’s only sincere option to succeed incumbent Gov Ifeanyi Okowa.
Any deliberate attempt to compromise this common knowledge of presenting Gbagi as the overwhelming flag bearer would cause the PDP its first gubernatorial lost in Delta since the new democratic dispensation in 1999.
The fear of Gbagi has therefore become the beginning of failure for Delta PDP. Ordinarily APC, with its woeful, repressive governance that has adversely affected the populace as the federal ruling party should not be an option for the electorate come 2023.
But if we must tell ourselves the truth, the PDP in the Delta also need a strong renewal of commitment to strengthen its dominance since 1999. This is where any attempt to throw in an errand boy, stooge or charlatan flag bearer would backfire in disaster and give the number one seat to the opposition who are growing more daring in desperation to sway the tide.
This is where Gbagi is the real deal. But the most important tune to sing all Deltans is that Gbagi is not only the best among those PDP has to offer. He’s is the overwhelming choice all Deltans much recognise, irrespective of party leaning if Delta is desirable of a new dawn for accelerated development.
Weighed from all criteria, academic standing, versatility of expertise, private ventures and investments accomplishment, political heights attained, global connections and self confidence, nobody comes near. Where others are leaning on Godfathers, Gbagi has his towering credentials to speak for himself, does not believe in Godfather who will become a distraction if a stooge is erroneously elected.
The high and mighty are beginning to see through the lies, blackmails and fictitious permutations against the most qualified entrant into Delta 2023 guber race. They are all the handiwork of the forces bent on holding Delta state bound as a cash cow for Godfathers. Now we all know the lies from the truth.
With much assurance, Olorogun Gbagi has made it clear that once elected to take over from Gov. Okowa, he will have no business with the past but face the present and future squarely in dignity, so there won’t be any distractions.
Deltans, you can’t do same thing same way, as they say, and expect different result. 2023 is that rare opportunity to change the narrative of governors by Godfathers.
Delta is a land of promise, and that rightful candidate to fulfill that promise is no other person than Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi.
