Ahead for the Governorship race, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi decided to appear before the DC 23 screening committee on November 28, 2021 at Sapele, Delta state.
As the screening was said to be the best option to trim down the many number of aspirants who has indicated interest in running the governorship race under PDP as decided by the elderstatemen of PDP in Delta state.
He made it clear during a brief chat with the press men immediately after the screening that, appearing before the DC 23 screening committee is not abominable as they only need more details on his governorship ambition and there are due process in everything as he is not going to govern himself alone but the entire state as the DC 23 is also part of the state.
He went further to say; “If I become the governor of the state, I am not going to govern myself. If DC-23 wants to see me for more details, I don’t see anything wrong with that. Whether I am satisfied with the process or not, they have their process which I am not preview to. The most important thing is that they are Deltans and they have to vote for me to become governor of the state.”
Apart from the PDP frontline aspirant, Olorogun Gbagi, in attendance at the DC-23 screening at Sapele were also other aspirants like; speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Immediate past Chief of Staff, Government House, Olorogun David Edevbie, Former Commissioner for Works Chief James Augoye, Magnemite Fred, Ejaife Odebala, and others.
