…the list getting longer, elders to sieve the chaff off
Obviously, Delta state have become the only state in Nigeria where people without any formal education, pedigree, most of them with questionable wealth are all running on social media to claim Governorship race.
The latest is the tallest Man in the state, “Speaker”, Mr. Thug who commence consultation and visited the former Governor Chief James Ibori on October 5, 2021 for consultation.
Chief Ibori in his wisdom replied Sheriff Oborevwori saying, “you too, the list is getting longer and will need the elders to sit down and sieve the list to be able to come up with a final decision”.
And this has always been the fear the country have, the same reason for lack of investment into the state as people with no pedigree believe it’s only going to be an issue of how many guns, criminals/419 that can be put together even the tallest Man in the state whose home was built as a speaker from the task payers money in the period of service as a speaker also indicating interest is a flop.
However, there is nobody with self efforts transparent wealth, one with character but a few that has indicated interest and these are the kind of people that has been projected, no more, no less.
Its unfortunate that Delta as a state faces a dilemma situation in the road ahead and its future.
