Recent party declaration by Delta State SDP governorship flag bearer, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi turned out a harvest of decampees as over 9000 renounced allegiance to the PDP and APC to support Gbagi which is the “divine task” to end PDP hegemony of power hijackers.
In company of Gbagi at the colourful declaration amidst mammoth crowd in Ogbolokposo, Uvwie LGA, were the SDP National Chairman, Alh Shehu Gabam and other party leaders from across the country.

“It has become a curse and you will not belong to that curse. The reason we move from PDP to SDP is to ensure all pensioners are paid what is due to them because that is their labour and their wages.
“We will give every true Deltan free education, you cannot be in the river and soap will enter your eyes.
“Delta state is a successful state, Delta is wealthy, Delta state has money, there is no reason we should be like other states which has no much blessings like the one God has given to us.
“So youths, all of you that are here with me should confidently partner with me because I believe I can solve the problem of this state.
“Because today is not for campaign, we are not entitled to campaign so we just came to receive all of you decampees into our SDP party, when the time for electorial campaign starts, we will separate the boys from the men.
“We will change Delta for greatness and you will see your money and what your money can do for you in this state.
” We are going to receive you decampees as people that believe in the SDP party vision and my integrity that, we will change the fortunes of this state for the best.
“Please, I plead with you all to go get your PVCs as that is the only way to make it happen”.
