Delta 2023: Gbagi’s Countless Effort To Rebuild Delta Speaks Volume, What have Others Done.

Without wasting much of your time, we wish to draw the attention of Deltans to some of the good works of this one qualified candidate, Kenneth Gbagi with pedigree of leadership and enterprenuership skills to enable Deltans in their decision of who among other candidates truely deserves to lead the state and the expectation afterwards.
To mention but few from the testimonies of many beneficiaries in the state who proudly opened up on the philanthropic nature of His Excellency, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON.
It may interest you to note the many Testimonies as follows:
1. Gbagi Foundation: Gives free scholarship to indigent Deltans, With the Gbagi Foundation, over 3000 Deltans and non-Deltans alike whose parents could not afford the payment of school fees, have been sent back to school.
2. Built biggest largest malls, the Robinson Gbagi Shopping Mall 1 & 2.
These two malls currently engages over 6, 000 youths and tagged the ‘computer village’ of the Niger Delta.
3. Flown kings and indigent Deltans abroad for free treatment.
Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, the greatest Urhobo patriot, has shown so much concern to traditional rulers. He has at different times, help in medical tourism by sending them abroad for medical treatment for them not to die.
4. Donated fully equipped 40-bed hospital to Oginibo
As a man who is passionate about his people, to mark his birthday recently celebrated, the SDP governorship candidate, Gbagi, donated a 40-bed fully equipped hospital to Oginibo people and communities in Ughievwen kingdom and the Catholic church.
5. Laid foundation of a Catholic church in Oginibo
As if the donation of the hospital wasn’t enough, to fill the gap in the faith, he laid the foundation for the building of a Catholic church in the community.
6. Established 13 Universities, 14 Polytechnic, 8 federal girls colleges and 16 Colleges of Education.
Keen at restoring the academic performance Nigerians are known for and for ease of gaining admission to the university and other higher institution of learning, Gbagi, took two memos establishing schools across the country.
7. Abrogated WAEC policy of using minimum of 6-credits in WAEC at two-sittings to be eligible for admission as opposed to the infamous one-sitting with 8 credits.
Considering the yearning of Nigerians to be educated, the former minister of state for education, ended the policy of obtaining 8-credits at one sitting to five credits to be able to gains admission.
8. Restructured of the Criminal Justice System, prison reforms and training of lawyers and countless positions with positive outcomes.
It is on records today, that the former Chairman, Legal Aid Council of Nigeria, brought about vigorous innovation to the law profession. This brought about the release of criminal suspects in custody for over 3-10 without trial.
9. Built well equip hospital for the Owhorode of Olomu.
The Owhorode of Olomu kingdom, is a benefactor of the philanthropic gestures of Olorogun Gbagi. A fully equipped hospital is presently standing in the palace of the Owhorode, awaiting commissioning.
10. Recommended Nigerians for several national assignment irrespective of tribe.
Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON, is one detribalize Nigerian whose help for mankind does not know coloration. From Ijaw, Itsekiri, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Ndokwa, Ika etc. Once a man is qualified for a job, Gbagi, goes all out to recommend such an individual.
11. Sponsored the construction of roads for communities in Ughievwen
Without the help of the Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa-led government, Gbagi, has solely embarked on the construction of roads in parts of the State for ease of movement and transportation of goods and services.
Despite been the number citizen of PDP by way of founding the party, Gbagi, has not taken any contract from the state government
12. Paid for the repairs of faulty transformers across Ughievwen communities
In the course of his consultations and campaigns, Gbagi, has released between N3-N5 million for the repairs of faulty transformers. He yielded to the demands of the people to end the suffering particularly those posed by power failure.
13. Caused Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo to apologize to Urhobo traditional rulers.
The Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON, has proven to be an Urhobo patriot.
Gbagi, a renowned philanthropist, expressed dissatisfaction with the Vice president, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, who gathered Urhobo kings, abandoned them and jetted to see the kings of Gbaramatu and the Olu of Warri.
However, informed of the derogatory manner his traditional rulers were suggested to, Gbagi, issued a press statement expressing his displeasure.
This made Prof. Osinbajo, to reschedule a visit to the kings at the palace of the Owhorode of Olomu kingdom.
14. The first black Africa in the world to be an AKS member of Rotary International.
As a philanthropist, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, FNIM, was the first black man in the whole world to become an AKS member of Rotary International and donated $250, 000 to Rotary International, for charity to help the poor people.
Between 16 and 21 per cent of the wealth of the world is in the hands of Rotarians.
15. The largest private investor in Delta State with businesses scattered around the world
It was noted that, the Former governor of the state, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan and the incumbent, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa have separately said “Gbagi, you are the only one that can liberate Delta State.
They equally noted that, if there are up to two Deltans businessmen with investments like that of Gbagi, who believe in the State, the challenges of unemployment and insecurity would have to tackled and Delta wouldn’t be like this.
16. He released people kept in prison without trial
The ideal of police officers keeping suspects in detention without trial, was brought to an end by Gbagi, as former Chairman, Legal Aid Council of Nigeria.
17. Refused several monetary inducements to enrich himself.
Former military administrator of Delta state, Air Commodore Ibrahim Kefas (rtd), wanted him to share about N800 million proceeds of DDPA, he raked in less than two weeks.
An act that infuriated Gbagi, a onetime Chairman, Delta Development Property Authority (DDPA).
“I have a very serious disrespect for Nigerians or people who wants to put their hands into taxpayers money.
“I see them as idiots and people who have no head because Nigeria, is such a blessed country that if you put your mind in doing anything right, you will get it done”.
18. Rebuilt and equipped and ICT center in Urhobo College, donated N10 million to Government College, Ughelli and as minister of state for Education, rebuilt federal government college, Warri.
Though, these schools are not in Olorogun Gbagi’s schedule, he showed commitment aimed at ensuring that they exist and function.
19. Fought against the relocation of PTI from Warri to Kaduna
Recall that there is a gentle minister for Petroleum called Rilwanu Lukman, said the College that was related to petroleum should be relocated
Thirty-two days after Gbagi became a minister, he founded FUPRE, Federal University of Petroleum Resources in Ugbomro.
Obasanjo gave them N1 billion to them to go and setup a College because they have created the state but there were no document. That was why Rilwanu Lukman was making that statement to say they should relocate the school.
But thank God, 32 days later Gbagi took a memo to council, where he got approval for the Petroleum University to be established.
If you check the record that created that university, you will not see Kenneth Gbagi, as the owner or person who founded the University including the other 12. In memo to council, you do not put your full names but what you will see there is KOG, he founded the University.
20. Electrified and constructed road in Oginibo
Today, children and children yet unborn can call the name Gbagi. They call him Odoziako, Ameh, Ochuko, Orugba etc. If course, these are his traditional titles.
These titles became more evidently pronounced when he relocated home about eight years ago. He electrified the whole community and constructed roads to elevate the living standard of his people.
Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, a renowned Criminologist, no doubt has raised the bar.
