...says Gbagi should be next Delta state Governor.
Ahead of 2023 gubernatorial race, the Chairman of the Christian Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (CPFN), Delta State chapter, Pastor Nathan Onokpanu has endorsed the Delta state Governorship candidate of Social Democratic Party SDP, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON as their preferred choice of Governor, come 2023.
This was made known by the leadership of the CPFN on Thursday 29th December, 2023 during the courtsey visit of the gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON to the CPFN at its Secretariat in Effurun, Warri in Delta state.
In attendance was also the amiable wife of the incoming governor, Mrs. Sybil Gbagi JCA, the Campaign Council led by the Campaign Director General, Prof. Jiff Mokobia and Social Democratic Party SDP members and others.
According to the leader of the CPFN who saw it as a thing of joy and progress to have the industralist and philanthropist, Gbagi as the next Governor of Delta state as his CV speaks volume and his character to performance remains excellent in all ramifications.
During the Suprintendents meeting held with Heads of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), blocs at PTI Road, Effurun, Uvwie local government area of the state.
Onokpanu in his statement pointed out that, Gbagi who was a former minister of state for education and largest private investor in the state remains the most qualified candidate among others with diverse capacity to deliver Delta state from the arrested development of the past and present government.
To top it all, he described Gbagi as a one courageous and an incorruptible politician and businessman who cannot be manipulated by any means.
In his word, he expressed, “We have seen them all, we have heard from many of them. We know where we will direct our people because when you see something that is straight, you have to move to that area.
“When the blocs meet, we know where we will go because we have heard from all of them, we know who they are”.
At the end, Pastor Onokpanu rendered prayers of blessings and support to the incoming governor saying, “God should stand for him. We want him to take over Delta State because we know that if he is there, the church will rejoice.
“If he is there, our youths will be gainfully employed, if he is there, everything will move well, if he is there, those who have worked and retired, will get their money.
“If he is there, corruption and looting of the treasury will stop. Let us pray that our father, God to announce him, God should publicize this party and make him win this election.
In same vein, the DCC Superintendent of CAC, Pastor Ewoma Itoje also prayed, “Almighty and everlasting King of kings, we thank you for the grace you have given to your son.
“I pray that what he is aspiring to become in Delta State, whether powers of darkness likes it or not, it will come to pass.
“You have good records in Delta State and I pray that those records will speak for you.
“As you move from place to place to campaign, the Holy Spirit, will protect you. Anybody that wants to fight you in one way or the other, the Holy Spirit will frustrate them.
“When you were coming, you arrived here safely, as you are going back, you will get home safely. It is well with you.
“What you are aspiring to become, God will make it possible in the name of God the father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost”, and the Church echoed a loud Amen.
