The Covenant University, Ogun State, will hold its 17th Convocation of the 2022 graduating class today (Friday).
A statement signed by the institution said the 17th Convocation began on Thursday with the Special Convocation Service.
It read, “There were hooding lectures across the four Colleges and the School of Postgraduate Studies. These lectures will cover various evolutionary aspects of higher learning, such as the driving of impactful postgraduate education in the 21st century, entrepreneurship in the digital age, new media interventions, etc, while the Alumni investiture/presentation of special awards and prizes will take place later in the day.
“This will culminate in the release of Eagles 2022, for the award of First and Higher degrees and presentation of prizes, which will take place on Friday, January 06, 2023, at the University Chapel.”
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abiodun Adebayo, in the statement appreciated the proprietor of the university for the unflinching support the university had enjoyed over the years.
It read, “He applauds parents and guardians of students and the alumni for playing crucial roles in evolving a learning environment that has become the envy of all through the last academic session. At the same time, he thanks the National Universities Commission, Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, professional bodies, and partner institutions both within and outside the country, for the goodwill and supports the institution has enjoyed from them in the last academic session.”
The statement added that there would be a Special Convocation thanksgiving service at the University’s Chapel on Saturday morning, 7th of January, 2023.
