..CAUTIONS THOSE PLANNING TO TAKE ANAMBRA STATE BY FORCE
Popular Nollywood actor, Chiwetalu Agu has called on the people of Anambra State to come out in their thousands to vote for Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, (APGA) gubernatorial candidate in this Saturday governorship election in the state.
The popular actor made this clarion call when he came to celebrate the 2021 Public Service Day with Anambra State civil servants at the secretariat, Awka, the state capital.
His arrival at the event was greeted with applause from the civil servants who were obviously delighted to have him in their midst.
Chiwetalu Agu later went to exchange pleasantries with Governor Willie Obiano and Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo who were already seated at the event.
While making a brief remark at the occasion, Chiwetalu Agu commended Governor Willie Obiano for his wonderful performance in Anambra State.
He asserted that Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, which means “follow peace,” is the best and most qualified candidate to succeed Governor Willie Obiano.
He recalled that he had known Cee Cee Soludo from the Obasanjo government when Soludo successfully consolidated the Nigerian banking sector, grew the economy and help pay the nation’s foreign debts.
He further said that Obasanjo used the likes of Soludo, Dora Akunyili and Ngozi Iweala to transform the Nigerian economy adding that Governor Willie Obiano is about to replicate the same feat in Anambra State with Soludo in the driving seat.
He reiterated that Soludo will consolidate on Obiano’s sterling achievements by further taking the state to a higher level of development that will impact positively on the lives of the people. He cautioned against those planning to take the state by force.
He therefore charged the people of the state to come out and vote APGA as the party for Ndigbo and the Soludo/Ibezim ticket, adding that Soludo’s revolution will not only be felt in Anambra State but the entire Eastern Region when he becomes governor of Anambra State.
