CELEBRATING A HISTORIC MILESTONE AND CONGRATULATING THE NEWLY ELECTED NUJ NATIONAL PRESIDENT

The National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Rivers State Chapter, celebrates a groundbreaking moment in the history of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) with the election of Dr. (Mrs.) Abimbola Oyetunde as the first female Deputy National President of the NUJ. Her victory at the just-concluded NUJ National Elections in Owerri marks a significant achievement for gender inclusivity and empowerment in leadership. This accomplishment is a source of immense pride and a beacon of inspiration for women across the nation.

NAWOJ Rivers State Chapter also extends its hearty congratulations to Alhaji Alhassan Yahaya on his election as the National President of the NUJ.
