I doubt if there is any politician or high profile personality in the south of Nigeria who does not know the man called Asari Dokubo. He has been a prominent figure in the Niger Delta struggle and has paid his dues for his love for his people.

He has also been a front runner for the emergency of His Excellency, Sen Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This he did due to his believe in the vision of Sen Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a progressive with the mandate to make Nigeria great and better.

Of recent, the media has gone agog with his name due to some senseless allegations. People have been calling the DSS to detain Mr Asari Dokubo for a statement he made against the Obidents.

What is wrong with a man calling on the presidential flag bearer of the Labor Party to withdraw his case from the court and support Sen Tinubu? I see nothing wrong with that statement. Nevertheless, some people who find it difficult to accept the outcome of the just concluded presidential election will always shout wolf where there is none.

Asari Dokubo has done nothing wrong to warrant the call for his arrest. He has been a patriot and a believer in the progress of Nigeria. The statement from the media that A-K 47 was found in his house is quite laughable. As far as I am concerned, Asari Dokubo does not have even a kitchen knife in his house currently.

All I can see is jealous coming from diverse Quarters due to the fact that Asari Dokubo was one of the few voices that spoke in favor of Sen Bola Ahmed Tinubu from the South South part of Nigeria. Nevertheless, I wish to remind those who are behind these calls to withdraw such call and apologize to Asari Dokubo with immediate effect.

This is not a time to distract Mr President. There are a lot of things to be done in this country which needs his urgent attention and with that done, Nigeria can be a better place.
